ACME Group strengthens manufacturing portfolio and leadership to drive manufacturing business growth

GURUGRAM – 6th October 2025: In early 2025, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) included ACME Group in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), enhancing its credibility as a solar module manufacturer. ACME has established a separate entity under the Group to operate its Renewable Equipment Manufacturing Business. The company has set up a solar module manufacturing facility in Jaipur with an annual capacity of 1.2 GW, developed with an investment of Rs 230 crore. The Jaipur facility is designed to produce high-efficiency solar modules catering to diverse applications such as utility-scale power plants, KUSUM projects, export opportunities, and rooftop installations.

The ALMM initiative supports India’s “Make in India” mission by promoting domestic manufacturing, reducing import dependency, and generating employment. It also aligns with India’s renewable energy goals by ensuring the use of high-quality, locally made solar modules in installations.

As part of its business growth strategy, ACME Group has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Mr. Jitendra Agrawal as Chief Operating Officer for the Manufacturing Business. He brings strong leadership vision and extensive industry experience to scale up ACME Group’s Renewable Equipment Manufacturing operations in India as well as in key international markets. Mr. Agrawal will drive the Group’s growth and execution capabilities as it pursues new investments to expand its manufacturing business, in line with its long-term plan to establish a presence across the renewable product and ancillary equipment value chain.

Commenting on the company’s business plans, Mr. Jitendra Agrawal, COO of ACME Renewable Equipment Manufacturing Business, said, “The strategic entry into the renewable equipment manufacturing business marks a significant milestone in the journey to contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy transition. The company is committed to scaling up this business through capacity-enhancing investments, strengthening its portfolio, and expanding manufacturing capabilities.”

ACME’s portfolio strategy emphasizes offering world-class solar modules. The company has introduced the ACM-HD144N N-Type Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact (TOPCon) Bifacial Dual Glass Mono Modules, with peak power ratings of 600W. These dual-glass modules are among the best in class and come with a 30-year performance warranty. They help reduce energy costs and shorten the overall return on investment, making them a preferred choice for various applications. The recent reduction in GST rates from 12% to 5% on solar modules further enhances the attractiveness of solar energy investments by reducing the payback period by an additional two to three months.

These solar modules are designed to withstand harsh conditions such as salt, ammonia, sand, and other environmental factors. They have been tested and certified by leading global standards including IEC, UL, and ISO, underscoring ACME’s strong commitment to quality and reliability. The company is also in the process of expanding its manufacturing operations to achieve backward integration and scale up its current capacity.
